I've started 5 different posts within the last few days. I just don't have the time/attention span to finish them.
I've got one about me turning a dog bite into an excuse for a new purse. (I wasn't the one who was bitten, and my dog didn't do the biting, but it was traumatizing enough to warrant a new purse.)
There's another about Miss Marvel and all her milestones. (Reaching the 1st percentile in weight, climbing up the slide, wearing pigtails and being so cute I'M GONNA DIE!)
There's one about the minor league baseball game we went to as a family. (Fun was had by all.)
I've got another about the multiple parties I've hosted this week and the frantic hours I spent cleaning. (One of the parties was a surprise party and it was great. The other was to sell books and not a single person showed up. But at least my house is clean!)
There's yet another about The Big Bang Theory. (The show. Not the actual theory.) (Superman and I LOVE LOVE that show. We've been watching past seasons and are filled with joy. Bazinga!)
The final post sitting in my draft folder is one cataloging all the funny things The Hulk has said lately. ("If my food was broken, I would put Ranch on it. Do you know why? 'Cuz Ranch fixes everything.")
But rather than finish any of those posts, I am going to go finish cleaning my house. The bedrooms are atrocious. The boys' room is so bad I had to actually crack a window to get the smell of dirty socks and bodily functions out. My SIL, her 3 kids, and my in-laws are coming to stay for a few days. My SIL is a bit of neat-freak, so it's a good chance for me to get the house sparkling. (Yes, I find humor in the fact that I'm more nervous for my SIL to see my house than my MIL.)
So, I'm off to tackle the bedrooms. Maybe when I get bored halfway through I'll come back and finish those other posts.
But probably not.

Good luck. Maybe you need a trip to Husband and Wife!
isn't it funny how hosting something at your house makes you want to clean it up, but you never want to clean it up when it's just you and the family? i'm the same way! i hosted a pampered chef party and spent a whole week cleaning. my husband does a great job of dirtying it right back up, so he's got it a mess again. :)
1. So behind the times. I don't know when you changed your blog design, but I love it!
2. Same thing happened to me. I had a party to sell books, invited like 25 people and my mom showed up. That 's it.
3. I am the same way with my sister in law. She is a total neat freak and it actually gives me headache when I know she is coming to stay with us. Ridiculous, I know.
I should volunteer to host something so my house would get clean! That would certainly motivate me!
Kids say the darnedest things! Love that Ranch line. I sing your song of housecleanig and kiddos and no time. (sigh)
The best type of cleaning is cleaning when you are cleaning for family. I'd clean for that over anything else any day! Have fun with all of your company!
I have lots of blog posts bubbling around in my head at the moment, but it's a question of time. As in, my has evaporated. Probably because I'm trying to keep up with so many blogs. And it's easier to read and comment than write my own. Yikes.
Yep, I know how you feel about starting posts and then not finishing them. Or even wanting to start posts but not doing it. I hope you're having fun with family!
I have a million posts to do, and I have no idea where to start. So I just procrastinate...and I tend to procrastinate cleaning as well. I just tell myself that the kids need to learn to clean up their own messes. And they have to do that before I can deep clean, right?
I like easy, too. Which is why nothing I have begun is finished lately, and we're not talking just blog posts!
Good luck cleaning your house!
