Tell me what you thought of Arizona and Kansas City.
I liked Rocker girl with pink hair and the waitress from KY who was there without family. She had a very unique voice that I liked. Also the 16 yo who did Corrinne Bailey Rae. Those are really the only ones I remember being good.
Oh, and the blind guy at the end! Scott MacIntyre. He had a great voice, and I'm anxious to see him behind a piano.
What did you think of Bikini girl? The new judge Kara? (I like her. A lot.)
KC: Loved Lil Round, Asa (teacher), Danny (widower) and a few others that I really can't remember right now. I've found a blog just about Idol. I love it. I'm thinking most of my Idol chatter will be there this season.

You and McEwens about summed it up. I like Kara more than I expected. Bikini girl got through because Simon & Randy couldn't hear straight with her there half naked, and the blind kid--I hope he goes far.

We don't have any TV service, so I usually haul out the antenna to watch. But last night I had a RS thing, so I missed it altogether. So sad. :( But my mom promised she'd save them all on the DVR so I can see them someday.
Made me wish I had gone to SL to audition, even though they would've kicked me out for being too old. I had a dream about it. maybe I'll post it.
OK, so the bikini hoocie? The fact that she got through only goes to show that men are pigs, and why insecure women like here think that they need to strip or use their sexuality to get ahead. I totally wish someone would've have told her to go put some clothes on, and then come back and sing, and maybe they'd be able to decide if she was good enough. I didn't think she was that great a singer.

They need to start doing an American Idol for old fogies like me who just want to do instrumental stuff.

Okay so I watched last night but we missed tonight. Kaylee has a book report due tomorrow so the TV had to stay OFF!! But last night I thought the new judge will be a good for the show. I loved the blind guy, the girl without any family -- I thought she sounded kind of like Kelly Pickler myself (remember her??) I swear they need to make a rule that includes some kind of "DRESS CODE" and not allow for the lack of being dressed. I totally loved the comment that the new judge said to bikini girl " next time show up naked" -- or something to that effect. I about died!!! I also really like Stevie the teenage girl with dark hair. I'm excited to watch this season, and I'll have to check out the blog on AI as well. Maybe I'll run into you over there.

i love American Idol! my kids love watching it... i am glad i didn't actually SEE that bikini girl part... and i am glad my kids didn't see it... but i saw it online yesterday. crazyyyyy.....
last night me & the kids were watching and we LOVE the black girl from Memphis. She was our favorite.. (the one with the 3 kids)
Kansas City...Loved ASA and the widow guy best! Found it a little boring for some reason though. But the previews for next week's shows look exciting!
I think they need to careful making fun of dull normal types like the guy from Grand Island Nebraska who made up his own songs for his mom/Grandma. He was obviously not just weird, but low IQ. It ends up being sad, not funny.

I agree, Beeswax. You'd think they had learned their lesson after the whole spider monkey thing. (Remember him and his mentally handicapped friend?) Even if they're going to let them through to sing on TV, just be nice about the dismissal.

I didn't watch it last night but watched it the first night. Like you, I liked the rocker girl with pink hair and a few others. Some seriously made me laugh! How did they even get through the screening? Ewww. Uh, the bikini chic seriously needs to go! Why did Simon and Randy even give her a yes vote? And Kara showed little class in allowing the bikini girl to get to her.

Bikini girl drove me nuts!! I hope she gets out fast! I missed the KC one. I did like the girl from KY that came by herself too. And one other girl that was wearing black and she had dark hair.
I loved Rocker girl, Stevie girl and Asa. I also liked that long dark-haired girl--can't remember her name but she had a really unique voice. Bikini girl was a joke, I agree, someone should've told her to go put some clothes on. I can't believe they put her through. I hope she gets slammed in the next round.
I was so excited for American Idol to start! I think there have been quite a few good singers already, and I'm excited to see more for sure! I like Kara, it's great that she's not afraid to say what she thinks and I'm glad she doesn't try to just sugar-coat everything. She seems a little bit full of herself, but I think I'll like her well enough.
