more random babble.....but that's what a blog's for anyway, right?

So about this Ireland thing. Not happening. Mostly because now Superman's company is thinking they won't send him. He'll just go into the office early and to some conference/tutorial calls on late afternoon Ireland time.

Just a big false alarm. I'm going to go ahead and get a passport just because it's a good idea. You know, like if I need to leave the country in a hurry to escape zombies or Miley Cyrus.

But this also means that Superman won't be leaving for a week, which is a good thing. I've done three weeks without him before and it is not something I EVER want to repeat. (It was for the army.) Spiderman was not quite 2 year old and the Hulk was 3 months at the time. I very nearly lost my mind by the end of it all. Once Superman got back I just want to sit on the couch and have a conversation with someone who could talk! And dinner!!! I had a reason to cook dinner again!!! And get dressed and ready!! I would NOT do well on my own. Sure I'd get out of bed and take care of my kids. But I'd never get out of my pajamas or shower leave the house without good reason. So much effort. You hearing me, Superman?! NO DYING!!!

On a completely unrelated note, I'm not going to be babysitting anymore. The mom's hours were cut and now she's just going to work on her husband's days off. So not only am I losing the little bit of income it brought, but my baby fix is gone, too!!! I'll have to beg some other mom to let me watch her little baby now. There's quite a few in our ward, so I probably won't have a hard time with that. And it will be nice to have my afternoons back.

On another unrelated note, I'm excited for TV tonight! The Bachelor, True Beauty and Momma's Boys. Maybe some dancing superstars during the commercials. And doesn't American Idol start tomorrow? HOLLA!!! Totally pumped! Except didn't they get rid of Paula? I saw her and another female judge on some previews. Why? I mean, I know Paula's crazy and loves everyone, but she was an integral part of AI!! Each one of the judges played a great role and I love the chemistry of the panel. I'm gonna miss that girl. I think they could replace Ryan, but I don't see that happening anytime in the forseeable future.

And I don't know how to close this random post, so............if you leave a comment I promise to comment on your blog today!!

Steven is going out of town for 4 days tomorrow morning. 4 days!! Im so bummed! I hate it when he leaves town. It makes me realize just how helpful he actually is. I have to pull all the weight for 4 days and IM NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO IT!!! You and your boys should come visit us. Or we should go visit you. either way.

Sorry you're not going to Ireland. I wish you were. I wish I was! Oh well, get your passport and next time you'll be ready!

I'm sorry about Ireland! That's too bad!

And you can steal anything you want from me.

Stay tuned for Friday. I'm bringing Post Secret back. I'm a little better prepared this time, and will be closing comments at night. It was too stressful and I didn't get any sleep!

Man, that stinks about Ireland, but def get that passport! I heard that they're keeping Paula, they're just adding this new judge. I saw an interview with the new judge and I think she'll be a really good addition. And I am ALL for giving Seacrest the boot!

I am so bummed. I was counting on going too :) Ireland is a dream of sorts. Sorry about that.

I can't wait for AI. I didn't know all about the Paula thing though. That will be different. I hope it is as good as last year was.

Haha! I think you've already commented on my blog twice today. :) But as for the trip--glad you didn't rush to go on the trip if it's not going to happen. And the babysitting...it's rough when you count on a certain amount coming in. I hope something comes to fill it in!

Sorry about no Ireland BUT at least you won't be left home while he goes. Good idea to get a passport...I should get one...you never know when I might be traveling out of the country...yeah right. I enjoy reading your blog.

I hear you about the hubby being gone. When my oldest was little, I was working 4 days a week, and Luvpilot would sometimes be gone a week or two at a time and it was SO HARD! I looked forward to going to work to get some adult time, but then coming home and taking care of a toddler all on my own was a lot of work. Hopefully one day you and I will both get to Ireland.

I can't read a post about American Idol and not comment. Something new you just learned about me. :)

The above commenters were right... they're not replacing Paula, they're just adding a fourth judge. I'm excited to see the changes to the show. Even though I know it's a scam. Did I say that again? I'm just kidding. I'm SUUUUUUPER exCITEd!

Oh... and about Ireland. Bummer. Maybe you can go another time. I always think I would love to see all these places in the world that I've never seen, but my husband and I both hate the actual traveling part.

Bummer about Ireland. I guess the decision was made for you. Well, hopefully the opportunity will come up again someday.
p.s. You can totally borrow my baby. Granted, she's almost 4, and not really a baby anymore, but she still acts like one, down to wanting me to hold her, and crying for everything she wants.
Seriously, you can take her anyday. Really, I wouldn't mind one bit.
(Can you tell she's kind of driving me crazy!)

Too bad you aren't in my little sister's ward. She's having a baby in 8 weeks and has to figure out someone to watch the baby. And it's a girl so you could do snuggles AND pink!

I'm sorry about the Ireland thing. Hopefully you two will have the chance to go somewhere cool together someday. I don't have a passport either- but I sure wish I needed one!

Well that's too bad the Ireland thing fell through. I actually like my hubby to go away for awhile. Absence makes my heart grow fonder.

Good luck getting your baby fix! And enjoy AI tonight.

So I didn't have the patience to read all of the other comments already made on this blog post, so I may TOTALLY be repeating someone else BUT

Paula is still on American Idol. They just added a second female which was how the show was originally supposed to be. When three ended up working well enough they just stuck with it but last year decided it was time to add a fourth...AND the girl that was added was discovered way back in the day by Paula Abdul...kinda cool story

That is sad about Ireland! And three weeks with just little kids and no husband. . . I'd go nuts too! I hope you don't have to repeat that again!
I really am totally entertained by True Beauty. It's hilarious to see the secret challenges and everyone's reactions. Who do you think should win or at least stay in for a long time??
