Yesterday at church I went to talk to a friend who's got a little boy the same age as my youngest -- about 2 1/2.First of all, this kid is the cutest ever. His language skills are so developed. He says things like, "How are you today?" and "I'm frustrated right now." And it's not even in baby talk. Every consonant is perfect. He's just adorable. I'm always amazed that he can remember my name -- we don't get together that often! He's a smart kid.
My friend told me that a few days ago, there was some kind of Marilyn Monroe pop art thing on TV. Her son pointed to it and said, "Why is Alyssa naked?"
She explained that it wasn't really me, and that woman wasn't really naked. (At least, not in that picture.)
I told him that was possibly the best compliment I had ever received and that he could come over and play any time.
