Park Playtime

I decided to take the boys to the park to enjoy this glorious spring weather. It's so touch and go right now - it could rain any day, or so I hear. Plus, taking pictures means that I actually watch the boys instead of chat with friends. Not that I would ever do that, of course....

"Hel-LOW!" For the first 10 minutes, Eric ran up and down the ramp, yelling "Hello" to me. He's right in the middle of the word here.

Eric is starting to get brave. Isaac has never had any fear at the park, even when he should have. I'm glad that Eric has had more apprehension, though it means I usually push him on the swings most of the time. But he's definately showing more daring and decided to go for it and climb this odd ladder.

A lucky shot of the boys running up the tube.

Isaac always always has a great time at the park. No matter how long we stay, it's never enough. I'm sure he's the only kid who has this problem, right?

Lovin' the slide. Can you see the static in his hair?

This park is so great. They have rock walls for the kids! The main part of the play area is smooth, wide ramp that is wheel chair accesible. The tennis courts are just nest to the park, and there's a wide path for longboarding, biking, jogging, whatever.

Workin' hard.

"Yeah! I did it, Mom! I did it! I'm on top!" We had such a great time.

7 minutes....

So, I'm watching America's Next Top Model and realize that I haven't seen the boys for a few minutes. I checked Isaac's room and find them playing quietly, nicely. This rarely happens, and seeing how I'm still on my camera high, I snap a few shots of Isaac playing. "Cheese!"

After this, I go back and watch the next segment on ANTM. (We're on a first-name basis.) Next commercial break, I go to see if they're still playing. It's been completely quiet. I know, my mommy-radar should've kicked on, but I was also talking on the phone and obviously didn't pay attention. I walked into the hall to find this:

Me: "Uh, Kelli, I gotta go."

Isaac had pulled everything out of his room and piled it outside his door. I could barely get in.

He stripped the bed! It looks like we're moving!

You saw the state of his room before, right? When he was playing with Noah's Ark? Go ahead and scroll up. A disaster. Books, blocks, cars, trains, animals, clothes...... Everything's out! He even emptied his drawers! And this was 15 minutes to bedtime. A day in the life, I guess. We did a pretty quick clean up, and it actually helped us get organized and gave me a reason to do the job right today. Now, if only he could have got rid of that hideous carpet.....

This is the view out my front door. I love waking up to this perfect shot of the mountain. I love that our home faces east and the morning sun streams into our living room (and not our bedroom!) These mountains are beautiful year-round, whether they're green, red or white. It's hard not to think of our Father in Heaven and His marvelous creations when you see the mountains, really see them, and your eyes are drawn heavenward. I miss my family desperately, but living in Utah definately has it's perks. ......and I don't think this snow will melt till September when we get more. It can't believe how much we got this year! Too bad I don't ski....

"Football"

Eric loves playing "football," as he calls it. He'll even go and play by himself in the backyard - and Eric doesn't do things by himself too often since he's always had Isaac. But he's a big fan of "football. "

Isaac was concentrating pretty hard and it paid off! Unfortunately, I missed his "I did it!" dance right after making it. It's hilarious. Jumps up and down and pumps his arms saying, "Yess! I did it! I did it!"

Isaac is a child of God

video

You hear me and Levi more than Isaac, but it's still so darn cute!

Swingin'

I just love this picture. They have such a good time together. They're always laughing and playing with each other. Okay, that's a lie. They're either laughing or fighting. =o) But fortunately the fights don't ever last long.

Such a happy kid. I love my Isaac! He loves this see-saw swing 'cuz he can do it by himself. Which means I like it, too!

I'm not quite sure if they're having a good time. Can you tell?

Yes, his mittens don't match. He wouldn't leave the house without them, and of course I couldn't find matching ones.

Don't tell Daddy...

He found my lipstick. I know he just does what mommy does, (though hopefully I have better aim) but he likes taking the cap off and putting it back on more than he likes wearing the stuff. I'm sure of it. I let him do it all the time with the lipstick I normally wear because I've used so much that it doesn't reach the top of the tube. But he just happened to pull out the blood red stuff I never wear and.......you get the picture. Although, don't you think this works with his coloring?
"What's 'at?" I just happened to be shooting Eric when he heard something. This is also his "Where'd it go?" face. Except that's shortly followed by, "There it is!" He cracks me up.

"Sse-Rel"

Eric loves his cereal. Alright, he loves all his food. He has to eat things with two hands - one holding the spoon, the other making sure it all stays in his mouth. It usually doesn't, but you gotta hand it to him for trying. (No pun intended)

Here goes....

Well, ladies and gents, or probably just ladies, here it is! The May family officially has a blog. Levi was sure it was going to cost him money - just a camera. :o) I'm so excited about this. Facebook has not fulfilled my need to share my random thoughts with the world, or the amayzing things my kids are thinking up. So until next time.....Enjoy!
