What a great moment in our nation's history. It's not the end of the world. I know there are some who think it is, but I disagree.
I was very energized and moved, almost to tears, after our president-elect's speech last night.
I love his wife. I would've voted for her if I could!
I'm very much anticipating this next chapter in our nation's history.
I thought Sen. McCain's speech was very gracious and was impressed by his words of unity, and obvious love for his country.
I breathed a small sigh of relief that Sarah Palin would never be put in position asour Commander-in-Chief. But I'm going to miss Tina Fey on SNL.
P.S. To be clear, this is not the cadidate I voted for. But I'm not devasted that he was elected.

thanks for the silver lining in the last post..... McCain did have a very gracious speech!
Oh my gosh, ditto! Those were my words exactly, "this is NOT the end of the world." Regardless of who you voted for and who was elected, the president has a limited amount of power and one man is not going to bring about the end of civilization as we know it. I wish people would stop being so melodramatic about it!
And how awesome that America has proved itself above racial prejudice! This is an incredible historic moment and it gives me that much more faith in mankind. I hope that we do indeed, like both Obama and McCain encouraged last night, let this make us more united and less divided and I hope that Obama will be as good as his word and our country will have changed for the better at the end of four years.
My goal is to drag you to the dark side Alyssa....that being of course, Blue. : ) I'm so excited!!!!!!
You're right, McCain was very gracious. He was the best GOP candidate for sure. Too bad that he had to follow Bush. That really started him in the hole.
uhh, i realize some people think that if you're lds you therefore are republican- but not so!!!
yes- this is a good change- he is an intelligent man with a family and wife who he loves and will work hard for the future of this country-
so glad you see his value!
I literally just commented on someone else's blog that it's not the end of the world. Seriously.
And honestly, this is why we have a prophet. We have someone to guide us who speaks to God, and we don't have to rely on man.
This is the most refreshing post I've read FOR A LONG TIME! I am a Obama supporter, I wanted him to win, and I think he brings hope for an improved future.
I have not been able to understand the logic (or lack there-of) of everyone who is sure the election of Obama is essentially going to lead our world to its end.
Are there things about him I don't like? Sure. Were there things about McCain I loved? Yes. Is it possible that we actually had two GREAT candidates in this election who both were honest-hearted and good? For sure! And I'm excited about the one who won!
Hooray for hope for a better future!
I'm not devastated that he is our president either. We only differ on two major points. I think he will be a people's president. He is our president, I support him now.
I voted for Mccain too, but wasn't really thinking he would win so I didn't mind. I wasn't gung-ho about either candidate, so either way I wasn't going to be disappointed.
I have had a hard time with this one. I am looking for some answers, but my answers have to come from me. Not anyone else. I did not vote for him but I will support him. m
I loved how he described his wife as his best friend and the love of his life. I'm cautiously optimistic about his plans for our country's economy.
I didn't vote for him (I wrote in Mitt Romney) and I didn't like McCain either.
